My battle mod
by maha_fish
My battle mod is a Forge mod that lets players assign mobs to teams, command them with wands, and set them against rival teams.
What it does
Players right-click a mob to create a team, name it, and assign it a mod ID, then use the team's wands to move, track, and manage its members. Sneaking and right-clicking disbands a team, and right-clicking air cycles between the wand modes. Mobs that already exist join a newly created team automatically, and newly spawned mobs from that team join it too.
Mobs from different teams turn hostile toward one another within a configurable range limit, and the team leader receives a glowing effect while the team is active. Three items make up the core toolset, and the mod works with Forge mods' mobs. In-game messages can be translated through language files, and English and Chinese are included. Creative-mode players find the items under the Tools and Utilities tab, and the wiki describes the example give commands for each wand.
The mod is for multiplayer servers and single-player worlds where players want to organize armies of mobs into alliances, which needs both the server and every player to run it. The current file is 7.0.0 for 1.20.1 and dates from 2026-09-27, while the first release came out on 2026-04-25.

How it compares
Alliance Netherite Monstrosity is a Forge mod for 1.20.1 that runs on client and server and is released under the MIT License, so it is open source. GloveCraft is also a Forge mod for 1.20.1 on client and server, but it is not open source and is covered by All rights reserved. My battle mod is likewise not open source under All rights reserved, so the choice between them comes down to the mechanics each one adds.
