What it does

Morph is a port of iChun's well-known Morph mod, rebuilt for 1.21.1 on Fabric and NeoForge. A player can change into a mob, use its abilities and return to the player form. Killing a mob can acquire its morph, so a player builds a collection over time. The server and every player need the mod installed. Files are published for Fabric and NeoForge, with builds 1.0.0 and 1.1.0 for 1.21.1, and the code is under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only.

The mod adds more than twenty morph abilities beyond the original set and allows up to five abilities per morph. Transition animations between forms are smoother than the original mod. The source code and an issue tracker are public. Modern Morph works alongside Integrated Boogaloo, and the selector screen offers quality-of-life changes over the original version.

Key features

  1. Ported morph system

Players change into mobs in the style of iChun's original Morph, with the familiar selector and transformations.

  2. Extra morph abilities

More than twenty additional abilities are available, and each morph can carry up to five of them.

  3. Favorites and radial menu

Favorite morphs can be marked and opened from a radial menu, so frequently used forms are quick to reach.

  4. Selector controls

Keys open and navigate the selector, and holding Shift moves through the options horizontally.

  5. Smoother transitions

Animations between one morph and another have been reworked to look less abrupt than the original.
