Mob Spider Climb

Mob Spider Climb lets selected mobs climb walls the way spiders do, using a configurable allowlist of mob names.
What it does
The mod gives chosen mobs the ability to climb walls like spiders. Which mobs gain the behavior is set in a config file, where an allowlist names the entries that are allowed to climb and a banlist excludes the rest. Mob names must be written in the modname:mobname form and checked against the summon command, since a misspelled name leaves the config reset to defaults. Forge is the only loader with files, for 1.16.5 – 1.21.1 across four release versions, and the mod is open source under the MIT License. Only the client and server need it to be installed, so players can join a server running it without any extra setup.

Wall climbing for mobs
Mobs listed in the climbing allowlist can move up vertical surfaces, adopting the pathing behavior spiders use.
Allowlist and banlist
A config list controls which mobs receive climbing behavior, and entries not listed in the climbing allowlist are left unchanged.
Config validation
Entries must use the modname:mobname format, and an invalid name causes the config to reset to its defaults.
