Mxpea's Multiplayer Motion API
by Aurelith_MX
Mxpea's Multiplayer Motion API gives server-side code a way to apply motion to entities, such as throwing them toward a player's gaze or in random directions.
What it does
The library handles entity motion on the server. A developer or a datapack-driven setup can throw entities along the direction a player is looking, toward the nearest player, or in random directions, and can apply randomness to the strength of each push. Several entities can be moved at once, and a random throw can be made to resemble an explosion. The server needs the library, while players may leave it out. Builds exist for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, covering 1.21 – 1.21.11, under the MIT License, and the code is open source.
Key features
Gaze-directed throws
Entities can be launched along the direction a player is looking, for example a thrown snowball.
Random motion
Entities can receive a single random push or a randomly scaled motion, adding variation to each throw.
Multi-entity effects
Several entities can be moved in one call, including a burst that looks like an explosion.
