by Txni

With MixinTrace Reforged installed, crash reports list the Mixin that touched each stack frame, which makes crashes easier to trace back to their source.

What it does

MixinTrace Reforged is a Forge and NeoForge port of an earlier mod. It adds Mixin information to the stack traces written into crash reports, so a failing frame can be linked to the mixin that injected it. The mod is licensed under the MIT License and is open source. Source code and an issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Mixin details in stack traces

Frames that pass through a mixin show which mixin was involved, not only the method name.

  2. Crash report output

The extra information appears in crash reports, where debugging usually starts.

  3. Forge and NeoForge builds

The project provides builds for both loaders, so the same debugging detail is available on either.
