Mini Tardis ComputerCraft Bridge

by TheJebForge

Mini Tardis ComputerCraft Bridge connects the Mini Tardis mod to CC: Tweaked, so a computer placed in a Mini Tardis can read and control the ship from Lua scripts.

FabricClient and serverCC0 1.0 UniversalOpen source1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

Once both required mods are installed, a computer block can be placed inside a Mini Tardis connect computer in the same way as any other computer. A reference script for the TARDIS method set is provided by the author. It is copied onto the computer in the Tardis, renamed to startup.lua, and the computer then runs it when started. A pocket computer can carry a copy of the same script and, with an ender modem, change to the channel the script expects.

The bridge exposes two functions to Lua code. isLinked returns a boolean that reports whether the computer interface is connected to a TARDIS. getState checks the current state of the TARDIS and returns one of a fixed set of strings. Remote control from a pocket computer needs a GPS constellation, which the author builds from wired modems and ender modems placed around the area.

The mod is published for Fabric only, across two release versions, 1.20.1 and 1.21.1. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. The code is released under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, and source code and an issue tracker are linked from the project.

Key features

  1. Computer connection

A CC: Tweaked computer placed inside a Mini Tardis connect block joins the ship's control system.

  2. Startup script support

A reference TARDIS script can be placed on the computer and runs automatically when it starts.

  3. Pocket computer control

A pocket computer with an ender modem can run the same script and switch to a configurable channel.

  4. Status functions

isLinked reports whether a computer interface is connected, and getState returns the TARDIS state as a string.

  5. GPS setup guidance

The author describes building a GPS constellation with wired and ender modems for remote positioning.
