Minetown
Minetown rebuilds villages with new town layouts, fountains, apartment buildings and biome-specific houses across four terrain themes.
What it does
Minetown changes how villages generate in a world: towns gain fountain middles, apartment blocks and houses built from stone bricks, oak planks and sandstone, with saplings, flower pots and brown beds placed in them. Each town follows one of four biome themes, Sunterra Plains Forests, Solara Desert and Redspire Badlands, and draws from matching trees and materials such as acacia and cactus.
The mod is a server-side world generation addition, so only the server needs it and players join without installing anything. It runs on Forge and NeoForge, is published for 1.20 – 1.21.7, and is released under All rights reserved, so the code is not open source. Minetown needs no other mods to run.

Biome-specific towns
Towns are themed to their biome, with oak in the plains and forests, acacia trees and sandstone in the desert, and red sandstone and dead bushes in the badlands.
Fountain and apartment layouts
Villages receive fountain middle houses and multi-storey apartment buildings in place of plain houses.
Decorative details
Saplings, flower pots, brown beds, cactuses and dead bushes add small props that make the towns look inhabited.
