MineLights
by MegaBytesMe
MineLights lights up RGB peripherals from what happens in the game world, so a keyboard or mouse changes color with the biome, the weather and the player's status.
What it does
The mod sends in-game events to RGB hardware. Peripherals from OpenRGB, Corsair iCUE, Logitech G HUB, Razer, MSI Mystic Light, ASUS Aura, SteelSeries GameSense and Wooting can all be driven. Lighting follows the surroundings in real time: the background color of a keyboard shifts smoothly as the player moves between biomes, rain brings lightning flashes during thunderstorms, and fire, poison or wither effects each get their own lighting response.
Fabric API is required, and the mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 61 release versions, 1.7.2 – 26.3. Because the environment is client-side only, servers run without it and only the player's own machine needs it. The code is not open source; it is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial Share Alike 4.0 license. Source code, an issue tracker and a wiki are public.
Key features
Peripheral support
Keyboards, mice and other RGB devices from several brands can be driven, through OpenRGB or each vendor's own software.
Biome colors
The keyboard's background color transitions smoothly to match the biome the player is standing in.
Status effects and status bars
Fire, poison and wither change the lighting, and function keys can display health, hunger and experience as live bars.
Block effects and waypoints
Standing in lava, fire or a portal triggers a distinct lighting theme, and other players' waypoints can be tracked on the device.
Per-feature configuration
An in-game configuration screen opened through Mod Menu switches each integration on or off, individually if needed.

Use cases
Ambient play
A player who wants the room to reflect the game can leave the weather and biome effects on while playing single-player.
Streaming setups
Players who record or stream can use the status bars and block effects as visible cues on the keyboard.
Who it’s for: Players who own RGB peripherals from one of the supported brands, and who want lighting that responds to the game world. The mod is a client mod, so it is useful to players on single-player or multiplayer clients, and servers need nothing.
