Minecraft 26.x -> 1.2x

The mod changes how Minecraft labels its versions. Instead of the year-based numbers the game uses now, the displayed version follows the older pattern of a major, minor and patch number. The change is limited to naming, so the same game builds are covered: the files published for this mod target 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3.

The mod is client-side only, so only the client needs it and servers run without it. Files are published for Fabric alone, and the latest file is 1.0.4 for 26.3, dated 2026-05-28. The first release was published on 2026-03-26 and the most recent update on 2026-05-28.

Snapshot builds are covered by the same project, and the source code is public under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, which places the work in the public domain as far as the law allows. The author notes describe the scheme as a four-part layout with a minor version and a patch number added later, and say no further major version is planned before the next drop.
