MinecartRevolution

by ryan100c

MinecartRevolution lets players load blocks onto minecarts, connect them, and ride along with those blocks on rails.

NeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source26.1.2

What it does

Almost any block can be placed into a minecart and carried along. In vanilla Minecraft only a handful of block types fit into minecarts, such as the furnace, hopper, chest, command block and TNT minecarts, along with the monster spawner minecart. With the mod, nearly any block can be loaded, taken back out, and sent rolling down rails to another destination.

Blocks loaded into a minecart stay interactive and keep working while they travel, so a furnace keeps smelting and a hopper keeps moving items during the ride. Minecarts can also be connected to one another so their cargo moves together. The mod is open source under the MIT License and runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files are published for NeoForge on 26.1.2, with version 1.0.1 as the latest build from 2026-09-02.

Key features

  1. Loading blocks into minecarts

Almost any block can be placed inside a minecart, extending the handful of block minecarts vanilla offers.

  2. Unloading and rerouting cargo

Blocks can be taken back out of a minecart at any point along a rail line.

  3. Connected minecarts

Minecarts can be linked together so that carried blocks travel as one train.

  4. Working blocks in transit

Blocks carried on a rail line can be used and tested while the cart is still moving.

Use cases

Transporting factory machinery

Players can ship a working furnace or crafting station to a new base and keep it running on the way.

Mobile storage

A chest or hopper carried on a minecart lets players move stored items across a large map without manual hauling.

Who it’s for: Players who enjoy building rail networks and transport systems, and server owners who want a themed, unusual transport option for their survival or creative worlds.
