Mesophil's Cities | City Dimension 🏒

by MesoMods

Mesophil's Cities adds a City dimension: an endless, randomly generated city of streets, train routes, stations and buildings, reached through a portal built from Reinforced Deepslate.

ForgeClient and serverCustom license1.20.1

What it does

The dimension is generated without a fixed end, so players can keep exploring new districts. Streets, train routes and train stations link the parts of the city, and a range of other buildings fill the blocks between them. A central location holds an ancient city with a large frame of reinforced deepslate, and a Mason village house can be found within the same generated area.

Players enter the city through a portal shaped like a Nether portal, framed with Reinforced Deepslate. The portal is activated with a clock, and it leads directly to the city, acting as a time-travelling link. Reinforced Deepslate is crafted from Iron Netherite Scrap, and the mod also includes a set of utilities for more precise world generation, easier building and saving.

Mesophil's Cities runs on Forge for Minecraft 1.20.1 only, and it is needed on the client and the server. The mod is still in beta, and the author asks players to report issues and send feedback. Custom city styles can be made with datapacks, and the first official style pack, Mesophil's Cities, supplies the actual buildings that the cities consist of. Without a style pack, the city is filled with coloured cubes meant for debugging.
