Melon Golem is a Fabric mob mod in which a golem made of melon blocks is summoned from carved melons and snow, and it shoots melon projectiles at hostile mobs.
What it does
Players craft a Carved Melon Block from a melon and shears, a decorative block that the mod adds to the game. Placing a carved melon on top of two snow blocks summons a Melon Golem, a custom mob that defends the area around it. Once summoned, the golem attacks hostile mobs on its own, firing melon projectiles at them from a distance.
The mod is useful for protecting a base, for players who want a companion that defends them while they build, and for decorative constructions such as market stalls, tropical-themed builds and melon farms, where the carved blocks serve as a theme. The mod is published for Fabric only, for 1.21 and 1.21.1, and runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. It is open source under the MIT License.
