AngleTracker

by romusie

With AngleTracker, a player can read the current yaw and pitch on screen and save a viewing angle to return to later.

FabricClient or server, optionalMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.4

What it does

AngleTracker shows the current yaw and pitch in degrees in a small panel at the upper left of the view. Pressing H hides the display, and pressing G saves the current viewing angle as a position. As the current angle approaches a saved one, the displayed values change color, so a player can line up a view by sight. The mod was made to help with navigation and building, where exact angles matter.

The mod is built for precise transport using ender pearls and redstone. Its inspiration was a video by Squibble showing how viewing angles can be used to set up perfect ender pearl and redstone mechanics. Players can replicate those techniques with AngleTracker and try new applications of the same method. It is a Fabric mod for 1.21.4 with a single file, AngleTracker_0.0.1, on the beta channel, released 2025-03-17.

Installation needs Fabric. Either side can run the mod, and neither needs it. The code is released under the MIT License and is open source, and public source code links exist.

Use cases

Complex jumps

Saved angles let a player repeat the same aim for jumps that depend on an exact viewing direction.

Ender pearl transport

Angles can be matched for precise ender pearl travel, following the redstone methods the mod draws on.

Who it’s for: Players who build with ender pearls and redstone, or who need exact viewing directions for navigation, will find the angle display and saved positions useful.
