Many More Ores
by Krzychowskyy
Many More Ores adds fifteen new ores to the Overworld, most of them with their own tier, tool and generation rules, so players who explore far find more than vanilla ore.
What it does
Gaspium is the strongest of the new ores and sits above diamond in value. Askium Ore needs a Gaspium pickaxe to break, and Poble, the most common of the set, can be collected with a wooden pickaxe. Tools made from the ores need armour that is rock-based, so the progression is set by the ores rather than by smelting.
Poble spawns in Overworld biomes between heights -64 and 60, in groups of up to 32 with an unusually high count per chunk. Chathil spawns in normal stone between heights 20 and 45 and in deepslate below it, but only in cold climates such as snowy biomes. Tobrine is rare because it generates only in jungle biomes, between heights 35 and 55 with a deepslate variant below. Chathil collected with iron tools yields a stronger iron, and Tobrine collected from stone above it is described as stronger as well.
The mod is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with builds for 1.16 – 1.21.4 and the latest file for 1.20.1 on Fabric and Forge and 2.0 for 1.21.4 on NeoForge. It runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
Key features
Fifteen new ores
The mod adds fifteen ores to the Overworld, each with its own generation range and mining requirement.
Tiered ore progression
Gaspium outranks diamond, Askium needs a Gaspium pickaxe, and Poble can be collected with wooden tools.
Biome-limited ores
Chathil generates only in cold climates and Tobrine only in jungle biomes, which makes both rare outside those areas.
Deepslate variants
Chathil and Tobrine have deepslate versions that generate at lower heights than their regular forms.
