LessTotem

by foxxey

LessTotem removes the totem pop screen that appears when a totem of undying saves the player, replacing it with a red vignette.

FabricClient-side onlyAll rights reserved1.20.4

What it does

When a totem of undying activates, the usual full-screen pop animation is no longer drawn. A red vignette takes its place, which starts mostly opaque and fades out over about two seconds. Code is inserted into the routine that draws the totem, which stops the default pop effect from appearing. Players can still see clearly while the vignette is on screen.

Key features

  1. Pop screen removed

The full-screen totem animation no longer covers the view after a totem saves the player.

  2. Red vignette instead

A red overlay appears in its place, starting strong and fading over roughly two seconds.

  3. Clear view kept

The replacement keeps the screen readable, so the player can still see the surroundings during the effect.

What the author says

it injects code into the method that renders the totem and stops it from happening. Removes the totem that appears on your screen when you pop a totem and replaces it with a red vignette effect so you still are visually aware of the totem pop but you can still see clearly. The red vignette starts mostly opaque and…
