Legendary brings content from the Minecraft Legends spin-off into the base game, through Waystones, Allay Chests, towers, golems, mounts and other mobs.
What it does
Waystones can be placed and named, and each name must be unique among the other waystones. Prompting another waystone's name teleports the user to it, provided the two sit within a thousand blocks and one experience level is spent. Allay Chests share one inventory across the dimension, and a chest given a name opens the same inventory as every other chest with that name.
The mod also adds towers, golems, pacified mobs and ridable creatures. Tower Cores are found in mineshaft chests and power Blast, Stun, Frost, Lava Coil, Boost Plant and Speed Wheat blocks. Golem variants are built from specific blocks and ammo. Client and server both need Legendary for the features to work. The files target 1.20.1 only, with the latest Forge build dated 2026-06-25, and the code is covered by All rights reserved, so the mod is not open source.
Key features
Named Waystones
Waystones can be teleported between once they are named uniquely and linked within range.
Tower defences
Blast, Stun and Frost Towers summon lightning, knock mobs back or freeze them, powered by Tower Cores from mineshafts.
Lava Coils
Powered Lava Coils make blocks in a four-block radius unbreakable, with the radius growing to twelve blocks as more coils are connected.
Pacification and mounts
Certain items calm basic mobs, and tamed mounts such as the Big Beak, Regal Tiger and Brilliant Beetle travel farther through the air.
Enchantment transfer
Prismarine forged with an enchanted item upgrades it by a level, and Prismarine Books move enchantments onto a book.
