Lazy Recipes Editor
Lazy Recipes Editor lets modpack server makers create, edit, disable and re-add crafting recipes in-game through a graphical interface.
What it does
Recipes are handled in a visual editor rather than by writing JSON files by hand. A visual crafting grid lets a maker drag items into place to define a recipe, and a toggle switches between shaped and shapeless layouts. Existing recipes, both vanilla and custom, can be opened and changed, and an output control adjusts the result amount with the mouse wheel.
Recipes can be deleted, which covers custom recipes and disables vanilla ones, and a deleted recipe can be re-added later. An item search filters the available items by name or mod ID, and tooltips guide the user through the interface. The mod stores recipes in the standard datapack tree structure, so the results load like any other datapack content.
Lazy Recipes Editor is a Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 and 1.21, published as 1.0.2 for 1.21 on 2024-12-29. It runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it is released under the MIT License without being open source.

Use cases
Modpack recipe tuning
A modpack maker can adjust recipes for a whole pack without editing datapack files.
Disabling vanilla crafting
A server owner can turn off a vanilla recipe and replace it with a custom one.
Who it’s for: Modpack makers and server owners who want to change crafting recipes without learning the JSON format. Players only need the mod if the server requires it, since it runs on client and server.
How it compares
Enhanced Book Writing is a Fabric mod for 1.19 – 1.21.4 that is client-side only and open source under the MIT License, so it does not change recipes on a server. KubeJS Generator covers 1.20.1 – 1.21.1 on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, is not open source, and needs the client while the server may skip it. Lazy Recipes Editor needs both sides and is limited to Fabric for 1.20.1 and 1.21.
