Lanthanum, a Technology mod for Fabric and Forge, adds a lanthanum ore, a portal frame and a dimension that replaces rivers and oceans with the ore's material.
What it does
Lanthanum adds a lanthanum ore and gemstone ore, along with derivative items and weapons made from them. The ore is the base for the mod's technology content, which relies on RebornCore for its energy handling. The mod was first published on 2023-11-01 and was last updated on 2026-09-08.
Players build a portal frame from lanthanum blocks and fill it with water to create a portal similar to the Nether portal. The mod also adds a dimension, identified as Dimension 14, where rivers and oceans are removed and filled with lanthanum. Ore multiplication of up to 64 times is planned for a future release.
Lanthanum requires Botarium and Fabric API, both of which must be installed alongside it. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Builds are available for Fabric and Forge, with files for 1.19.3, 1.19.4 and 1.20.1, and the latest file targets 1.20.1. The code is open source under the MIT License.
