KInventory
by cmdrnorthpaw
KInventory is a small Fabric library for serializing inventories with kotlinx.serialization, so other mods can save and load item containers as JSON.
What it does
KInventory provides the serialization step for inventories, which other mods can call to turn an inventory into a structured text form and back. It supports JSON and other formats that kotlinx.serialization handles. The library needs Fabric and Language Kotlin to run, and it does not depend on Fabric API. It is published for Fabric on 1.16.5 only, under the MIT License, and it is open source. Either side can run it, and neither needs it.
Key features
Inventory serialization
Turns inventories into structured data that can be stored or sent between programs.
JSON output
Writes inventories as JSON, with other formats available through kotlinx.serialization.
Lightweight footprint
The library is about 80 KB and avoids a Fabric API dependency, leaving Fabric as the only loader requirement.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
