Journal
by JacobG5
Journal is a client-side Fabric utility for scripted command sequences, a text editor for saved functions, and several redstone and workbench visual upgrades.
What it does
Journal lets a player create functions that run several commands in order, with a delay between each one, and send pre-written messages to the server. Saved function files use the .jfunc extension and sit in the .minecraft/journal/functions directory, so anyone can open them in a plain editor, change them manually and pass them to other players.
The mod also includes a completely remade version of its old resource pack, updated for the latest Minecraft version. It adds 3D models for workbenches, ores and other blocks, along with minor texture changes for consistency, and indicators on several redstone blocks that show their facing direction and powered state. The name refers to a real-life journal, a place to keep useful things together.
Journal is published for Fabric only, for the 1.20.3 – 1.21.1 range, with 1.1.0 for 1.21.1 as the latest file. It is client-side only, so servers run without it, and it is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
Key features
Scripted function sequences
Commands run one after another with a set delay between them, so a function can carry out a multi-step action.
Function files
Each function is stored as a .jfunc file that can be opened and edited in any text editor, then shared.
Redstone indicators
Several redstone blocks display small indicators showing the direction they face and whether they are powered.
Customizable zoom
A settings screen controls the starting zoom distance, how quickly the scroll wheel responds and the furthest zoom the player can reach.

Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Repeated server commands
A player who sends the same sequence of commands often can store it as one function and run it with a single action.
Sharing setups
Function files can be passed to other players, who open them in a text editor and adjust them to their own needs.
Who it’s for: Players who run the same command sequences often, and players who build with redstone and want clearer block states in the game.

What the author says
Journal is a client-side only mod that aims to provide various utilities and general "nice to have"'s. The mod is called Journal because like a real-life journal, it's not something you need but it's a nice thing to have with you in case you need it or have a good use for it.
