Infinite Void
by Zoomll9833
Infinite Void adds a new dimension that is empty apart from the portal players arrive through, with Forge and NeoForge files for 1.20.1 and 1.20.4.
What it does
The dimension is built as a plain void: nothing generates except the portal frame that leads in, giving players endless unobstructed space to build in. The portal frame is shaped like a Nether portal frame but uses glass, and lighting it requires a Dead Eye, a item introduced by the mod for that purpose. Dead Eyes can be smoked into Smoked Eyes, which combine with a Fermented Spider Eye and a Carrot in a Bowl to make Eye Soup. Eye Soup removes Darkness and Blindness and gives Nausea for a short time along with Night Vision.
Items come from a chain of crafting steps. Dead Eyes are processed into Void Essence, eight of which go with a Totem of Undying to make a Totem Avoidance. A Void Anchor is crafted from one Totem Avoidance, three Blackstone and five Void Essence, and it lets players travel back to the spawn point in the Overworld without losing items. Breaking an anchor drops nothing and returns it to the dimension, where a new one can be placed, but only one Void Anchor can exist in a Minecraft world at a time. The author recommends JEI or REI for viewing recipes.
The server and every player need the mod installed. It is published for Forge and NeoForge, under All rights reserved, and is not open source. Files cover 1.20.1 and 1.20.4, and the author notes that version 2.0.0 is planned for a later date.
Key features
Empty void dimension
The Infinite Void dimension contains only the portal that leads into it, leaving a blank space for building.
Dead Eye and Void Essence
Dead Eyes are the portal activation item and are processed into Void Essence for the crafting chain.
Void Anchor travel
Void Anchors teleport players to the Overworld spawn point and cannot be lost by breaking them, though only one can exist per world.
Eye Soup food
Smoked Eyes and Eye Soup offer a food item that removes Darkness and Blindness effects with Night Vision.

How it compares
Void Dimension is a NeoForge mod for 1.21.1 – 1.21.3, while The Void! and Unending Void are Forge mods for 1.20.1 only. All three are client and server mods under All rights reserved and not open source. Rispwind's Mining Dimension is also Forge and NeoForge for 1.20.1, but it adds a mining dimension rather than an empty one.

What the author says
There are some big issues with this mod that will cause incompatiblity with previous versions if fixed. Version 2.0.0 with these will come at some point in the future. This mod adds a brand new dimension to the game called "Infinite Void". The dimension is completely empty except for the portal that you came through…
