In-Game Music Player
by Redexe19
In-Game Music Player lets players play their own audio files inside Minecraft, without switching to an external app.
What it does
The mod adds an in-game player for local .ogg and .mp3 files. Files dropped into the mod's folder appear in the library while the game is running, and the library can be edited in the game, including renaming tracks, fixing artist names and swapping cover art. Lyrics are read from a .txt file placed next to a track, and cover art is shown in the player.
The player is a client-side mod that runs on Fabric only. Installation needs nothing beyond the mod on the player's side, and servers do not need to run it. Builds are published for 19 release versions, 1.19.1 – 26.1.2, and the latest Fabric file is 26.1-1.0.1 for 26.1.2, released on 2026-06-12. The mod is licensed as All rights reserved and is not open source, though the author states that open-sourcing is planned.
Development is ongoing. The author lists further features as planned, and the public issue tracker is the place where reports are collected.
Key features
Local audio playback
Plays .ogg and .mp3 files from the game folder, so an existing collection can be used as it is.
Full playback controls
Play, pause, skip, repeat, shuffle, seek and an independent volume setting are available in the player.
Lyrics and cover art
Lyrics are loaded from a .txt file next to a track, and cover art is displayed for each song.
In-game library editing
Tracks can be renamed, artist names corrected and cover art replaced without editing config files, with clipboard paste in text fields.
Drag-and-drop import
Music files can be dropped onto the library to add them, instead of digging through config folders.

What the author says
Play your own music while you're playing Minecraft — no alt-tabbing, no external apps. Drop your.ogg or.mp3 files in and they show up in a music player built right into the game, cover art and lyrics included, all editable without touching a config file. these are the features I'm trying to add soon.
