Happier Ghasts is a Fabric mod that changes how tame Happy Ghasts roam, carry players and respond to snowballs, with craftable propellers and armor added.
What it does
Happy Ghasts roam around the last player who dismounted them, so companions stay close without extra leads. Propellers can be crafted and attached to raise flight speed and cruising altitude, and they are removed the same way harnesses are, with shears. Visual propeller models appear on the mob, and Happy Ghast Armor is available as a separate item.
Temptation range is larger, so snowballs draw a Happy Ghast in from farther away. Every value is configurable, and the mod is meant to run on both the client and the server, which must each have it installed for the features to work. Fabric API and oωo (owo-lib) are required, and the mod is published only for Fabric, across 10 release versions 1.21.6 – 26.2, under All rights reserved. The source code and issue tracker are public, but the code is not open source, and the author permits unmodified use in modpacks and videos without asking first.
