Guinea Pig Variety adds nine guinea pig variants that spawn in forest biomes and can be tamed and bred with dandelions, grass, carrots, apples or golden variants.

What it does

Nine guinea pig variants are added, among them Black Dutch, Brown White and Black Tan. They spawn in forest biomes, so a player can find them while exploring wooded areas rather than crafting or summoning them. Tamed guinea pigs sit and follow their owner, and right-clicking them shows green particles while they wander, with smoke particles appearing as they move about.

Taming uses dandelions, and breeding accepts dandelions, grass, carrots, apples and golden variants. The animals are always hungry and squeak when a favorite food is nearby. Once in a while a guinea pig drops fertilizer, much as chickens lay eggs, and the fertilizer works like bonemeal on crops. Installation is needed on the client and the server, and the files are published for Forge only, across 1.20.1 – 1.20.4.
