Gravel Placers

Players digging through river gravel can find raw metal nuggets with Gravel Placers, which adds a brushable block that spawns in rivers across the world.
What it does
Gravel placers generate throughout a world's rivers. A player collects their contents with a brush, so the work is closer to a hurry-free excavation than to mining with a shovel, and enchantments on the brush do not improve the drops. The loot is a mix of vanilla and modded nuggets, including copper and silver where other mods add them, and which kinds appear depends on the installed mods and a config file.
The mod is open source under the MIT License and works on Forge and NeoForge. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Builds exist for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, with 1.1.4 as the latest Forge file for 1.20.1 and 1.1.5 as the latest NeoForge file for 1.21.1. It was formerly a Spelunkery addon and uses modular compatibility with optional dependencies, which include Caverns & Chasms, Create, Embers Rekindled, Malum, Oreganized and Spelunkery.
Key features
Brushable gravel placers
A new brushable block spawns in rivers and yields raw metal nuggets, brushed materials and flint.
Electrum and platinum nuggets
Two new raw metal nuggets make placers drop metals that are found in nature, with electrum smelting into Oreganized electrum.
Platinum as an early repair material
Platinum repairs damageable items to one eighth of their durability, which gives an early repair option without experience cost.
Gravel Placer advancement
A new advancement is awarded after a player places down a gravel placer for the first time.

Players who lack a universal repair item can use platinum to restore damaged tools and armor, and future repairs and enchantments stay at their normal cost.
