Ghost Runner

Ghost Runner is a client-side Fabric tool for speedrunners that records a run and replays it as a ghost to race against.
What it does
The mod records a player's run and lets them race a ghost of their earlier attempt on screen. Ghost Feature sections include checkpoints such as entering a Nether bastion, a fortress or the End, so a player can study and practice specific parts of a route. Create ghosts to practice a run more quickly or to aim at a saved time.
Runs can be shared with other people, who can race their own runs against a ghost, and the in-game timer built on SpeedRunIGT displays the time while the run is in progress. Because the mod is 100% client side, a player installs it alone and servers are not affected. Files are published for Fabric only, across the 1.16.1 – 1.18 range with 2.2.1 for 1.18 as the latest, under the MIT License and open source.
Installation needs the Fabric Loader, and the timer depends on SpeedRunIGT, which is named as a required dependency. Ghost Runner was first published on 2021-08-09 and last updated on 2021-12-01.
