Frost's Expansion adds a large set of decorative and functional blocks, several new mobs, two mini-bosses and two full bosses to NeoForge worlds.
What it does
The mod expands vanilla-style gameplay with new content drawn from Minecraft spin-offs as well as original creations. The mod's item list includes tools that bring back concepts originally present in the game's files but never used, along with several items vanilla players could not previously obtain, plus new structures and places to find in newly generated worlds.
Mobs spawn enchanted, and on higher difficulties hard-mode enchanted mobs appear more often. The bosses use unique attack patterns and phases and drop rewarding loot. Small gameplay tweaks are included that aim to keep the game fresh without departing from the vanilla spirit. The project is still in development, so textures and content may change between releases.
Frost's Expansion is published for NeoForge only, with builds for 1.21.8 and 26.1.2. The latest file is 1.1.9.4 for 26.1.2, released on 2026-09-19 on the alpha channel. Installation covers the server and each player's game. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.
