Friendly.jar

In the mod, a new player joins a world the player has just created and asks to become friends. The player chooses between two options: play with the newcomer, or kick them out. The choice is remembered and shapes what happens later. Offending the newcomer can lead to a fight that ends with the player killing them.

Events happen only in the game world, so the story unfolds through play rather than menus. The mod opens with a survival phase: the player must live through the first four days while the world becomes infected with a virus. The virus causes visual effects and can harm the computer. On the fifth day the player has to fight the newcomer as a boss, and the author notes that the fight is expected to be manageable.

Friendly.jar is released under the MIT License and is not open source. It runs on the client and on the server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Forge, for Minecraft 1.19.4 only, with version 1.0 as the current build.
