Fresh Proxy Command
by latouf
Fresh Proxy Command lets a player run a command on a Velocity proxy from a Minecraft server through the Fabric loader, with a command block or a chat command.
What it does
Fresh Proxy Command sends commands from Minecraft server instances to a Velocity proxy. A command is run through the proxycommand command, which can be typed by a player or placed in a command block. Error messages are returned to the player who issued the command, so a failed request does not go unnoticed. Example: a command block can teleport players to a different server behind the proxy.
The mod is a server-side only Fabric mod, so players join without installing anything. It needs Fabric API, CrossStitch and FabricProxy-Lite on each server, and the Velocity plugin running on the proxy. Commands reach the proxy only when the Fabric mod and the plugin are both in place. The files are for Fabric and target 1.20.4 only.
The mod is released under the MIT License, but it is not open source. Its source is available from the author's repository, and the Velocity plugin is published separately as a release file.
Key features
Proxy commands from servers
Commands run on a Minecraft server can be forwarded to a Velocity proxy instead of staying on the local instance.
Command source tracking
The plugin keeps track of which player or block issued a command, so the proxy can act on the right source.
Command block support
Command blocks can trigger proxy commands, for example to move players to another server on the network.
Error reporting
When a forwarded command fails, the error message is sent back to the player who issued it.

How it compares
Proxy Command Reloaded is a Fabric mod for 1.19.2 – 1.21.4 with the same server-side only environment, released under the MIT License and open source. FabricProxy is also open source under the MIT License, but it covers only 1.16.4 – 1.18.1 and does not add proxy commands. FabricProxyPlus is server-side only and covers 1.21.6 – 1.21.8, but its All rights reserved license means it is not open source.
