ForceGL3.0-Remapped

by Matyjaguz07

ForceGL3.0-Remapped makes Minecraft request an OpenGL 3.0 context, so older graphics hardware can launch the 26.x game on Fabric.

What it does

Minecraft officially requires OpenGL 3.2, which stops many older graphics cards from starting the game. ForceGL3.0-Remapped forces the game to create an OpenGL 3.0 context instead, letting supported OpenGL 3.0 hardware run newer Minecraft versions. A GPU still has to support OpenGL 3.0 or newer for the mod to help.

This build is an unofficial maintenance fork of the ForceGL3.0 project, carried forward for the newer 26.x releases. Compared with the original, it adds updated Mixins, remapped mappings and rendering compatibility improvements, plus an additional compatibility layer for the latest release. The mod loads through Fabric Loader and is open source.

The latest Fabric file is 1.0.1-01 for 26.2, published 2026-07-17. Files exist for 26.1.2 and 26.2 only. Compatibility with future Minecraft versions, other mods and resource packs is not promised.

Key features

  1. OpenGL 3.0 context

The game is forced to create an OpenGL 3.0 context, which lets older GPUs start Minecraft.

  2. Remapped mappings

The code is remapped to the latest Minecraft mappings, so the mod loads on the 26.x game versions.

  3. Updated Mixins

Mixins are updated for Minecraft 26.x, covering the changes made to the rendering code.
