Fontrast
by Refinement
Fontrast gives players control over how text is drawn in Minecraft, with separate switches for bold, italic, strikethrough, underline and obfuscation.
What it does
Fontrast lets a player change the appearance of in-game text through a set of controls. Each style that the game can apply to a line of text has its own switch, so bold, italic, strikethrough, underline and obfuscated text can each be turned on or off independently. The mod is aimed at players who find some of these styles hard to read or distracting.
Its settings can be opened from the Mod Menu config screen, and the config screen is built with YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL). Fabric API is required on Fabric, and YACL is required on both loaders. Fontrast is client-side only, so a server does not need it and players can join a server that does not run it. Builds cover 26.1 – 26.3 with 5 release versions, and the code is under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, which makes the project open source. The source code and issue tracker are public.

Use cases
Reading with fewer distractions
A player can keep bold or italic text while turning off obfuscated or struck-through text that clutters the screen.
Matching a personal preference
Each style can be toggled separately, so the text reads the way the player prefers without changing the game's content.
Who it’s for: Players who want to adjust how text looks on their own client, including those who find certain text styles hard to read. The mod has no effect on servers or on other players.
