FMapOverlayMod
by Annevdl29
FMapOverlayMod draws faction names on top of the map, using the labels a server's faction plugin produces.
What it does
On a client, the mod displays faction names as visual overlays on the map view, so players can read territory ownership without leaving the map. The overlay is refreshed around the faction plugin's map output, which lets it follow the plugin's own run. Only the client needs it, and the server can run with no change.
The mod is open source under the MIT License and requires MaLiLib. Builds are published for Fabric and Quilt, covering 1.17 – 1.21.4, with 1.4.11 for 1.21.4 as the latest file.
Key features
Faction name labels
Faction names appear on the map as visual labels, placed where each faction holds territory.
Refresh with the plugin
The overlay updates around the server faction plugin's map run, so the labels reflect the latest data.
Client-side operation
Players install the mod on their own game, and the server needs nothing extra to show the names.
