Flowerpot (StationAPI)

by FarnGitHub

Flowerpot brings a flower pot block to Babric and Fabric worlds on the b1.7.3 beta, and it needs StationAPI to run.

FabricBabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen sourceb1.7.3

What it does

The mod adds a Flower pot block built on a block entity, so a plant placed in it stays visible and renders with a custom model. The list of plants that can go in the pot covers the yellow Dandelion, Oak, Birch and Spruce saplings, the Dead Bush, the Brown and Red Mushrooms, and Cactus.

Flowerpot is installed on the client and the server alike, since both sides need the block and its rendering. Files are published for Fabric and Babric on the b1.7.3 beta only, and the mod requires StationAPI. Snapshot builds are published alongside the release files.

The project is open source under the MIT License, and its source code and issue tracker are public. Players who want to read how the block entity stores its contents can find the code in the public repository, and the issue tracker lists reported problems for the mod.

Key features

  1. Flower pot block

A placeable pot that holds one plant at a time, implemented as a block entity that stores what it contains.

  2. Custom pot rendering

The pot draws the plant it holds with its own model, so the contents are visible from any angle.

  3. Dandelion and saplings

The Dandelion, Oak, Birch and Spruce saplings can be placed in the pot as well as on the ground.

  4. Mushrooms, dead bush and cactus

The Brown Mushroom, Red Mushroom, Dead Bush and Cactus are accepted as pot contents too.
