Fixed Villager Trades
by Quplet
Fixed Villager Trades makes each villager keep the trades it received when it first took a profession, so replacing the workstation no longer rerolls them.
What it does
When a villager gets a profession, its trade list is set and stays the same. Changing the profession is still possible through its workstation, but the trades that come with the new profession cannot be rerolled by swapping blocks again and again. The clearest effect is on librarians: a player can no longer replace a lectern repeatedly to reach a wanted enchanted book, such as Mending.
The mod works entirely on the server. It is not needed on the client, so vanilla players can join a server that runs it and see the same behavior. It requires only the Fabric loader and does not depend on Fabric API. On Quilt it runs with the Quilt loader. Files exist for 1.17 – 1.21.1, and the latest build for 1.21.1 is 1.2.2, published on 2024-08-30.
The mod has three functions that can be configured and used independently. The project is open source under the Apache License 2.0 and keeps public links to its source code and issue tracker. Its first release dates from 2022-06-14.
Key features
Fixed trades per profession
A villager's trades are set once it gets a profession and do not change when its workstation is replaced.
Protected librarian enchantments
Librarians keep their enchanted book offers, so players cannot cycle lecterns to reach a particular enchantment.
Independent functions
The three functions can each be switched on or off in the config, so a server can use only the parts it wants.
Profession change still possible
A villager can still change profession through its workstation, but the trades attached to that profession stay fixed.

What the author says
"Fixed" in the title doesn't mean I'm fixing broken trades, however you can definitely interpret it that way. What it means is that Villager trades are now fixed the moment they get a profession. This does not prevent you from changing their profession (though the option to do so is available), only you won't be able…
