by FNewel

F.Essentials brings a set of common server commands to Fabric, including home points, private messages and spawn settings for server administrators and players.

What it does

F.Essentials is a reimplementation of the core features of the EssentialsX plugin, written for Fabric instead of a plugin server. Server owners who migrate from a plugin-based server can keep most of the commands and permissions they already know, so players see a familiar set of commands on the new platform.

Teleportation, home setting, private messages and spawn setting are among the features. The mod aims to make server management and player interaction simpler for administrators and players alike. It is a server-side only mod, so players join without installing anything, and it is published for Fabric only, on Minecraft 1.21, with the 0.0.3-alpha file as the latest build. F.Essentials is not open source; its code is covered by All rights reserved, and a wiki page is linked for documentation. Snapshot builds are not published for it.

Key features

  1. Teleportation and homes

Players can teleport and set homes, with the server controlling which commands are available to each group.

  2. Private messaging

A private message command lets players talk directly with one another without broadcasting to the whole server.

  3. Spawn setting

Administrators can set the spawn point that the commands use, giving new and returning players a common starting place.

  4. Development tracking

A Notion page lists which commands are implemented or planned, along with updates and changes to the mod.

Use cases

Migrating from EssentialsX

A server moving from an EssentialsX plugin setup can keep familiar commands and permissions on Fabric.

Server administration

Administrators use the commands to manage homes, spawns and messaging on a modded Fabric server.

Who it’s for: Server owners and administrators running Fabric 1.21 servers, especially those coming from a plugin-based EssentialsX setup, and the players who use their commands.
