ExpOre

by kotomeh

ExpOre adds Exp Ores to the Stone, Deepslate, Nether and End layers, and each one drops experience when mined.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT License1.20.1 – 1.21.4

What it does

Exp Ores generate in the overworld and in the other dimensions. Breaking any of them releases a set amount of experience, so mining is a source of experience as well as of the ore itself.

The mod runs on both client and server, so a server and every player who joins it need the same files. It is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with builds for 1.20.1, 1.21.1 and 1.21.4. The license is the MIT License, and the project is not open source.

Key features

  1. Stone Exp Ores

Stone Exp Ores generate in the stone layer between Y=0 and Y=55 and release experience when broken.

  2. Deepslate Exp Ores

Deepslate Exp Ores spawn deeper underground, between Y=-64 and Y=-1, in the deepslate layer.

  3. Nether and End variants

Nether Exp Ores appear from Y=10 to Y=256, and End Exp Ores from Y=0 to Y=64, so the other dimensions also hold experience sources.

  4. Experience from mining

Each ore gives a fixed amount of experience when broken, adding a steady supply of levels during mining.

Use cases

Early enchanting

Stone-layer ores can be collected early, before the deeper layers are reached, as a source of experience.

Nether and End trips

The ores that generate in the Nether or the End offer experience to anyone who travels there.

Who it’s for: Players who want a steady source of experience in survival worlds, and server owners who want more experience sources in the underground.
