Entity Tweaks Configuration
Entity Tweaks Configuration lets a server owner turn off natural spawning for chosen mobs, whether they come from vanilla or from other mods.
What it does
Each entity is switched on or off in a config file, so a server can stop specific mobs from appearing in the world while leaving the rest of the game untouched. The config works for vanilla entities and for modded ones alike, and changes apply to natural spawning only. Monster spawners are affected by the same settings, while spawn eggs still produce their mobs as usual.
The mod is aimed at modpack makers and server owners who want to shape a world or build a custom survival experience. A config folder can be opened from the game, and a disabled entry takes effect without any code. Setting minecraft:strider to false, for example, removes that mob from natural generation on the server. The mod is lightweight and runs on the server only, so players join without installing anything.
Entity Tweaks Configuration is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. Its newest files, 0.0.2 for 26.2 on Fabric and NeoForge, and 0.0.1 for 1.20.1 on Forge, cover 1.19.2 – 26.2 across 13 release versions. The code is released under the MIT License and is open source, and the source code and issue tracker are public.
Key features
Per-entity spawn control
Each mob can be disabled for natural spawning through a single config entry set to true or false.
Vanilla and modded entities
The same config handles vanilla mobs and mobs added by other mods.
Spawner coverage
Monster spawners follow the same disable rules, so their output can be limited along with natural spawns.
Spawn eggs unaffected
Spawn eggs keep working, so a disabled mob can still be placed by hand when needed.
