Elytra Autopilot
by Stellar2239
Elytra Autopilot lets a player with an equipped elytra fly to saved coordinates on its own, launching with fireworks and gliding until the destination is reached.
What it does
A player equips an elytra and uses a command to fly to a specified set of coordinates. The mod launches the player upward with fireworks held in either hand, using a configurable height that defaults to 180 blocks, and then flies automatically toward the target. Near the destination it attempts to circle the target and slow down, which is meant to reduce fall damage on landing. A separate command forces a landing at any time.
The mod is a client-side only Fabric build, so servers do not need it and players join without installing anything. Quick fly locations can be added and removed with a command, letting a player return to a frequent spot without typing coordinates again. Automatic flight can be disabled in the config screen, which is reachable through Mod Menu when that is installed.
Installation requires YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL). Mod Menu and Xaero's Minimap are optional. The mod is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, with public source code and an issue tracker, and its latest Fabric file targets 26.2 across 14 release versions, builds covering 1.21 – 26.2.
Key features
Automatic flight to coordinates
A flyto command gives the target coordinates, and the elytra flies there without manual steering.
Firework launch
Fireworks in either hand launch the player upward before the autopilot takes over, at a configurable height.
Quick fly locations
Saved locations can be added and removed with a command, so repeated trips need no coordinates typed again.
Landing control
A separate command forces a landing at any time, and Auto Flight can be toggled off in the config.

How it compares
Ghast Autopilot is also a client-side only Fabric mod under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, but it is published for 1.21.6 – 1.21.11 rather than 26.2. Beacon Flight 2 covers 1.21 – 26.1.2 under the MIT License and is server-side only, so players do not need it installed. Elytra Autopilot targets 26.2 among its builds and runs on the client alone.
