Elemental Creepers, a Forge mob mod by xSmallDeadGuyx, adds fifteen new kinds of creeper, some harmless and some very deadly.

What it does

The mod was originally released years ago and has now been updated for recent versions after a long gap. Its creepers carry elemental explosion effects: some set everything nearby on fire, others zap entities with lightning, including friendly ones. A creeper such as the Earth Creeper follows the same pattern with its own element. Several of the new creepers are harmless and annoying rather than dangerous, and one, the Friendly Creeper, can be tamed and used as a pet that attacks hostile mobs like wolves do.

The mod is open source under the MIT License and is published for Forge only. Its files cover seven release versions 1.16.5 – 1.21.1, with 4.1.1-1.20.1 as the latest file for 1.21.1. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Public source code and an issue tracker are linked from the project.

Celebrating the end of a 12 year update drought! After 12 years and a lot of life lived, I have finally updated Elemental Creepers to a recent version of Minecraft. It required (another) full rewrite of the mod which I used as an opportunity to improve the functionality of some of the elemental explosions.
