Eldritch Mobs gives randomly chosen mobs in a world extra abilities, more health and bigger experience drops, making them harder to fight.

What it does

Spawning mobs have a small chance of being imbued with abilities. Three tiers are described: Elite, which is the most common, adds a handful of abilities, quadruples health and quadruples the XP drop; Ultra is rarer and stronger; and Eldritch is the rarest, with the heaviest buffs. The tier of a buffed mob sets how many of these changes apply to it.

A sea lantern block, crafted from gold ingots and emeralds, can be activated with redstone to stop buffed mobs from spawning in the chunk around it. The mod is a Fabric port of the older Infernal Mobs project. Cloth Config API is required for it to load, and Quilt can run the Fabric build as well. Builds cover 1.18.2 – 1.21.11 across nine release versions, with the latest Fabric file for 1.21.11.

    Higher tiers drop more experience, so defeating a stronger mob pays out more.
