Dragon Wars Variants

Dragon Wars Variants, a Forge addon for Archipelago Additions, adds new companion and nether dragons to that mod's dragon roster.
What it does
The pack extends Archipelago Additions with new dragon variants and companions drawn from the HTTYD franchise, plus some custom ones made by the author and friends. Its nether dragons are a work in progress, and the author plans to fill the nether with more HTTYD-themed life later. The pack is an addon: it needs Archipelago Additions to be installed alongside it.
Most dragon models are built on IoB base assets, because hardcoded rigging dependencies make scratch models impractical. The IoB team created those models, which now belong to NBD, and the author uses them under permission on the condition that the pack stays an addon to IoB. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files are published for Forge 1.18.2 only, with 1.7.0 as the latest build from 2026-08-13, under All rights reserved, so the code is not open source.

Saltflat Screecher
A fury-family dragon that lives in salt flats and has a salt club tail for attacking intruders.
Netherwing
An old Night Fury subspecies that settles in basalt deltas and crimson forests.
Burning Nightmare
A Monstrous Nightmare subspecies that nests deep within warped forests.
Hell Wing and Stringer
A Skrill subspecies that nests in soul sand, and a Stinger subspecies that stays near Piglin camps and is ridden by them.
