What it does

Discs are found in world generation rather than crafted, so exploring dungeons and dimensions is how a player collects the set. Each disc plays a different track, and the discs cover several genres, giving a soundtrack for travel and combat. Music credits in the mod name the composers involved in the tracks.

The mod needs Cupboard on every loader. Certain versions also depend on the Loot Integrations mod. Distorted Discs runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Builds are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 6 release versions, 1.16.5 – 1.21.1. Each loader's latest file targets 1.20.1 or 1.21.1, and the mod is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source. Public source code and an issue tracker are linked.

Key features

  1. Fifty-plus music discs

More than 50 new discs are scattered through the world, each adding a distinct track to the player's collection.

  2. Dimension-specific discs

Some discs are themed to the Overworld, the Nether and the End, so each dimension has its own set to find.

  3. Dungeon discovery

Many discs are placed in dungeons, so the collection grows as a player explores new structures.

  4. Varied soundtrack

The tracks span several genres, so the discs can be played as background music during adventures.
