Devy's Descendant is an Adventure mod for Fabric and Forge that turns the player into a creature of the dark, with shadow powers, a night vision ability and a set of drawbacks tied to sunlight.
What it does
Installing the mod gives the player a special origin built around darkness. Sunlight-exposed blocks break faster, and the player can become translucent to blend into shadows. A night vision ability reveals the darkest places underground, and a short phase ability lets the player move past solid barriers for a limited time. Each ability carries a 5-second cooldown, so timing matters.
The origin comes with costs. Sunlight burns the player, which makes surface travel during the day a risky choice, and the character has only 7 hearts, so it takes more damage than usual. Portable crafting lets the player use a crafting bench from anywhere, and an extra 9-slot inventory adds storage for longer adventures. The mod is built for single-player survival and multiplayer worlds alike, since both sides need it to run the origin.
Devy's Descendant is released under the MIT License and is not open source. Files are published for Fabric and Forge across three game versions, 1.20 – 1.20.2, with 1.3.4 for 1.20.2 as the latest build on both loaders. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too.
