Decharted

by blakeyblakeb5

Decharted is a Forge and NeoForge world generation mod in which a corruption spreads across the world through ink, and players decide whether to stop it or take it over.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 1.21.4

What it does

The mod adds a corruption that can be spread through a new resource called ink resin. Ink resin is found only outside decayed trees and drops at random. Undried ink resin, ink solid, ink blood and an ink resin ore join the material list, and decayed logs, wood planks, bricks and blocks made from ink resin let players build with it. Armor can be crafted from the material, and the mod notes that its armor is slightly stronger than netherite while costing much more to make.

The corruption is organized into separate layers and a new dimension, so friends and foes can be kept apart. The mod also lets a player trap another player before they die and respawn. An armor set, an axolotl bones item, a sinister totem, a sinister effigy and an altar are part of the content. The mod is built for players who want to convert the world, or to defeat the infection early before it covers the entire world. Decharted is published for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, 1.21.2, 1.21.3 and 1.21.4 and runs on client and server. The server and every player need it, and it is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

Key features

  1. Ink resin resource

Ink resin is a new material found only outside decayed trees, spawning at random, and it feeds the mod's crafting.

  2. Sinister effigy

Crafting the sinister effigy grants power over the world's ink, and right-clicking it starts an ink rain lasting 30 minutes.

  3. Sinister totem

Right-clicking the totem below 4 hearts gives the Inkification effect, which lets the player shoot ink that converts blocks it hits.

  4. Invisibility key

A keybind lets the player become invisible for a short time, and blocks around the player are converted to ink too.
