Death Redone
by _Ati
Death Redone changes what a death costs on Forge 1.20.1: instead of losing the inventory, a player receives a stacking heart penalty that sleep can reduce.
What it does
Death Redone replaces the usual item loss on death with a stacking one-heart penalty. Each death adds another heart of lost maximum health, and sleeping in a bed restores one heart back. The mod also adds a simple class system in which players pick a role, which gives roleplay a starting point without changing the core survival loop.
Classes can be chosen through a crafted class selector, and a player who reaches level 100 may use it to upgrade to a class with increased stats. Dying loses the current class. A starter kit gives each player one item on first spawn. The mod is built for adventure play and roleplay servers, where players want deaths to carry a lasting effect.
Death Redone is installed on Forge only, with files for 1.20.1, and the latest file is 4.3. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source.

Simple class system
