Custom Piglin Bartering lets server owners define which items piglins accept and what loot each barter returns, through data packs.

What it does

Piglins normally trade gold for a fixed set of items. This mod replaces that table with data-driven lists: one list names the items piglins barter for, another names the items they are attracted to, and a loot table per barterable item sets the possible returns. The default configuration keeps the vanilla barters and sorts them into three tiers, with gold nuggets, ingots and blocks as the reward groups.

The mod works on a server and in single-player worlds, since only the server applies the changes. Its data packs are loaded with Fabric API, which is required. Fabric and Quilt builds are published, and the code is released under the MIT License, which lets anyone port it to another loader. Game versions run 1.17 – 26.3, and the latest file targets 26.3.

Creating custom barter data is described in the project wiki, and the translation of the mod's text is managed on Crowdin for anyone who wants to help with it. A Forge build is not provided, so Forge servers cannot run the mod.

    Each barterable item can point to its own loot table, so different items return different rewards.
