Curvy Rails
by frooberto
Curvy Rails replaces the vanilla 90-degree rail corner with a softer, rounder curve on NeoForge 1.21.1.
What it does
Curvy Rails adds a new corner rail called Curvy Rail, a rounder version of the vanilla 90-degree corner. Other changes cover diagonal rails, bigger curves and smoother slopes, and different curve shapes. A vanilla 90-degree corner can be swapped for the curvy corner by sneaking and right-clicking with an empty hand, so existing track can be reworked without rebuilding it.
The mod is built to stay compatible with vanilla minecarts and with carts added by other mods. If another mod's carts do not work on Curvy Rails, they still run on the vanilla rails. Integration with Railcraft Reborn rail types is noted by the author, and the mod changes the behavior of vanilla rails only where the curvy pieces are used. Files are published for NeoForge 1.21.1 only, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need the mod. The code is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, making the project open source.

Use cases
Reworking existing track
Players who already laid vanilla corners can replace them with curvy pieces in place.
Railway layouts
Diagonal rails and bigger curves let builders route track through tighter or more natural paths.
Who it’s for: Players and server owners who build rail networks on NeoForge 1.21.1 and want rounder corners and more curve shapes than vanilla provides.
How it compares
