Create Track Map: Fork² is a server-side web map for Create train networks, rebuilt to keep large track layouts responsive in a browser.

What it does

The mod serves a live web map of a Create train network. Track segments, signals and trains appear on the map and update while the world runs. The fork keeps the behaviour users see identical to the original Create Track Map, but rewrites the data path underneath, so that the map stays usable on networks with thousands of segments.

Installation needs only the server. Players connect to the map in a browser and need nothing installed on their side. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge, with builds for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and the environment is server-side only. The mod is licensed under the MIT License and is not open source.

  1. Live web train map

    Trains and track segments of a Create network are drawn on a web map that refreshes as trains move.

  2. Single streaming endpoint

    One server-sent events endpoint with delta updates replaces four full-state streams, cutting the data sent per refresh.

  3. Client-side train interpolation

    Train positions are interpolated in the browser between server updates, so motion looks smooth at a 1 Hz server poll.

  4. Compact data transfer

    Responses are gzipped, coordinates are sent with three decimals, and curves are flattened on the server before sending.

A live web map of your Create train network, rebuilt for scale. Same map, dramatically faster on huge networks. The four *.rt SSE endpoints are replaced by /api/v2/stream. Legacy REST GETs still work. Third-party clients on the old streaming API need updating.
