Crab from Mob Vote adds the crab, a mob that was cut from the 2023 Minecraft Mob Vote, along with the potion variants the author has been trying to build for it.

What it does

The mod brings back the crab as a mob that players can encounter in the world. Its Crab Master Potion is part of the content, and the author has been working on the long, strong, splash and lingering variants of that potion. Those variants currently cannot be brewed with redstone or glowstone, and the author notes that custom data item brewing recipes are limited, with a workaround possibly to come later.

The server must run the mod, while players may add it on their client but do not need to. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 1.21 – 1.21.10, with 2.1.0 for 1.21.10 as the latest Fabric file. The code is released under the MIT License and is open source.

What the author says

Why can't I brew the Crab Master Potion variants like long type using redstone, strong type using glowstone, splash and lingering variants? > I can't check custom data of an item in the brewing recipes because of limitations of thoose. Maybe I will found some workaround later.
