Cosmic Additions – Oxygen & Survival Addon
Cosmic Additions is a Forge addon for Cosmic Horizons that adds oxygen, radiation and temperature to survival play on 1.20.1.
What it does
Oxygen is tracked through suits that players equip, which monitor how much air is consumed. When the supply runs low, bubble effects appear on screen as the air depletes, and an Oxygen Distributor can be used to refill it, at the risk of exposure while doing so. Radiation and extreme temperatures are part of the same system, so the mod adds three hazards on top of the base game's survival loop.
Players can claim their own protected bases by building Sealed Areas, which keep out environmental hazards and hostile mobs. The suits themselves come in four tiers, Improvised, Steel, Titanium and Nickel, each protecting against a wider temperature range, and pieces can be mixed. Missing parts reduce effectiveness. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Files are published for Forge only, for 1.20.1, and the license is All rights reserved, so the code is not open source.

Suits track oxygen consumption, and an Oxygen Distributor helps players refill a depleting supply.

Four suit tiers

HUD overlay
The on-screen display charts live readings, including the oxygen bars, radiation levels and a thermometer for the surrounding temperature.
Segmented oxygen bar
The oxygen bar is divided into ten segments, each representing a band of the 0 to 100 percent oxygen scale.
